PS4 & Xbox One Gamers Will Finally Experience Dreamfall Chapters

Dreamfall Chapters

Red Thread Games

Red Thread games made the announcement Friday that Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will soon be available for console gamers on PS4 and Xbox One March 23, 2017. Dreamfall Chapters is the sequel to The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and was released on PC in five separate chapters from October 2014 to June 2016. All five episodes will be included in the console release and will be published by Deep Silver, the company that brought you Dead Island and Saints Row. Funded with a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, Red Thread raised $1.5 million, almost double their original goal, with additional funding provided by the Norwegian Film Institute.

Dreamfall Chapters is part adventure, part puzzle solving, and part character interaction where choices have consequences. The game follows Zoë Castillo as she continues her fight against the nefarious WatiCorp to save the people of Stark (a futuristic Cyberpunk Earth) and it’s parallel, magical world, Arcadia from enslavement via dream machines.

Dreamfall Chapters is truly an experience when it comes to video games; it’s one of those gems people always secretly hope for every time they hit ‘start.’  Console gamers can look forward to a visually stunning game with artfully designed environments, exceptional voice acting, and a storyline to rival some of the best graphic novels out there. Players will spend hours exploring the world and inspecting every gorgeously crafted detail from the breathtaking Cyberpunk city of Europolis to the more rustic scenes of Arcadia kolla in inlägget här. Where the game isn’t completely open-world, there is plenty of space to roam, things to see, and fodder for complete player immersion.

If you haven’t played the previous games in the series, there may be a few details you’ll miss. But overall, the writers do an excellent job of providing just enough exposition so players can easily start with Dreamfall Chapters and not be completely lost. Dreamfall Chapters will be available for $29.99 in the U.S. and £25/€30 in the UK and Europe. If you just can’t wait until March, the game is currently available on Steam for Mac and PC for $29.99. Trust me, if there’s one indie title you should be playing, it’s this one.
